Cookie Policy
Last updated: 15 September 2026
This site uses almost no cookies. Nothing that identifies you is stored unless you choose Accept on the banner. Declining costs you nothing, and every part of the site continues to work.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. Some are needed for a site to function. Others, like analytics cookies, are optional and require your permission before they can be set. Related technologies such as local storage work in a similar way and are covered by this policy too.
What we set, and when
Before you make a choice, we set nothing. The analytics tag is not even loaded until you accept, so no analytics cookie can exist on your device beforehand.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Set when |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| idoona_consent_v1 | Local storage, strictly necessary | Remembers whether you accepted or declined, so we do not ask again on every visit | Until you clear it | When you choose either option |
| _ga | Cookie, analytics | Google Analytics. Distinguishes one visitor from another | 2 years | Only after you accept |
| _ga_<ID> | Cookie, analytics | Google Analytics. Maintains session state | 2 years | Only after you accept |
We set no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels and no social media cookies. We do not share analytics data with advertising networks. IP addresses passed to Google Analytics are anonymised.
Your current choice
Checking
You can change this at any time, and the change takes effect immediately. If you withdraw consent, we stop sending analytics events straight away. To remove analytics cookies already stored, clear cookies for this site in your browser settings.
Controlling cookies in your browser
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, in Settings under Privacy. Blocking all cookies may break parts of other websites you use. It will not break this one.
